Morning of medical tests for the Samp squad, afternoon training at Bogliasco

It’s finally here: Sampdoria’s 2018/19 season is officially underway. Before setting off for Bogliasco and their first training session with Marco Giampaolo, the Samp lads met this morning in Genoa, in the Laboratorio Albario and Villa Montallegro medical centres, to undergo the usual start of season tests.

After warm greetings and the odd introduction for new arrivals, the players quickly got down to business, undergoing DEXA scans (X-ray scans to measure bone density and the nutritional state of the athletes) and Delos tests (to measure, train and improve balance and posture). The holidays are over: training at the Centro Sportivo Gloriano Mugnaini is set for the afternoon.
