First training session for De Luca. Rest day on Friday

New signing Manuel De Luca trained with his Sampdoria team-mates for the first time on Thursday, with Roberta D’Aversa putting the players through a session lasting nearly two hours.

The squad began with some specific strength work and technical drills, before De Luca headed off to the gym for personalised exercises while the others worked at length on tactics.

Adrien Silva, who is suspended for the cup match, continued with his own personalised programme.

The team will enjoy a day off on Friday before returning to training to focus on Alessandria on Saturday morning.
