Possessions and tactic drills, Borini and Giordano are back
Sampdoria approaches Friday’s away game against Cosenza at “San Vito-Gigi Marulla” (20.30 CET) with a morning session in Bogliasco. After briefing the team on the upper field of “Mugnaini,” Andrea Pirlo and his staff led a training session focused on athletic activation, technical exercises, possession in tight spaces, and long passes.
Group. Fabio Borini and Simone Giordano partially trained with their teammates, and also continued with a differentiated path with and without the ball, while Antonio Barreca, Cristiano Piccini, and Gerard Yepes conducted a personalized dry-land training session. Individual paths were assigned to Sebastiano Esposito, Nicola Murru, Estanislau Pedrola, and Petar Stojanovic. Therapies continued for Matteo Ricci. Tomorrow, Tuesday, a new session is scheduled for the morning.
Surgery. Meanwhile, Ronaldo Vieira’s surgery at Wellington Hospital in London, England, to stabilize his right long adductor tendon, was successful. The midfielder will be discharged in the coming hours and will begin recovery programs.
