Esposito back with the group, low-grade injury for De Luca

Sampdoria is back in action. After the defeat against Südtirol, the blucerchiati came back to the “Mugnaini” in Bogliasco to start gearing up for Saturday’s away match against Spezia (16.15 CEST).

Group. Andrea Pirlo and his staff led an afternoon session focusing on physical and technical activation on the field, possession drills, and a final small-sided game with four goals, all interspersed with running sessions. Sebastiano Esposito trained regularly with the group.

Schedule. Additional recovery work for Pajtim Kasami and Petar Stojanovic; individual recovery programs for Kristoffer Askildsen, Leonardo Benedetti, Andrea Conti, Alex Ferrari (who came back to Genoa after rehabilitation in Bologna), and Ronaldo Vieira. Meanwhile, late-morning clinical exams for Manuel De Luca revealed a low-grade injury to the hamstring of his right thigh. The forward has already begun appropriate therapies. Tomorrow, Tuesday, a morning session is scheduled.
